Common questions about pricing
A seat is one licensed attorney user. Paralegals, legal ops staff, and administrative users are included without additional per-seat charges — only attorney license holders count toward the seat total. We work with you during onboarding to confirm which roles require attorney-level access in your firm's configuration.
Yes. We pilot with mid-size DC-area firms before asking for a subscription commitment. The pilot includes a workflow walkthrough, a 30-day live trial on a subset of your matters, and a review of the conflict and deadline data before any decision is made. Contact us or request access to start the pilot conversation.
No. Docketwright is a workflow automation layer that operates alongside your practice management or document management system. It reads matter data from your DMS and writes status updates back. Your existing system stays in place and continues to be the authoritative record of client and matter data. Docketwright automates the process that happens between the data — conflict checks, engagement routing, deadline escalation.
Most firms are operational within 2-4 weeks of starting onboarding. The primary onboarding tasks are: configuring your conflict check rules, uploading or connecting your client-matter database, setting up practice-area deadline rule libraries, and configuring engagement letter templates. The Firm and Enterprise tiers include a dedicated onboarding specialist who handles the configuration process with your legal ops team.
All data is processed and stored on US-based infrastructure. Docketwright is built with SOC 2 controls in mind and our SOC 2 Type II audit is in preparation. Data in transit is encrypted with TLS; data at rest is encrypted at the storage layer. Role-based access controls ensure that attorneys only see matters they are assigned to.
